Sooner than you think, especially for Europe, peak seasons, or anything multi-stop. Ideally 6–8 months out for complex trips, and at least 3–6 months for simpler itineraries. That said, if you’re closer in, reach out anyway. Sometimes magic still happens. Traveling within 30 days? A rush planning fee may apply.

Wanderlost works on a non-refundable planning fee. This covers the time, expertise, and access that go into building a thoughtful, personalized itinerary, even if you ultimately decide not to book. The fee varies depending on trip complexity and is always shared upfront. Simple hotel bookings where you just want the added perks of our partner relationships are complimentary.
